Grand Opening of Our New Blog

Yes, the last posting was a "soft launch."
It went live before we had our color palette all figured out. So now here it is! In all its autumnal splendor!

We'll be sending out "Save the Date" notices in the next few weeks (maybe combined with our holiday greeting card?)... not that any of you reading this will be surprised. The official invitations will then be sent out sometime around early March, as best as I can figure.

We got a lot to figure out: finalize a budget for wedding & honeymoon, sign the contract with the Kiana Lodge (venue for both ceremony and reception), finalize our guest list, and start figurin' out how to mix up our Jewish and Catholic traditions with our modern sensibilities and private Zen-Transcendentalist-Jedi leanings and dabblings.

Also on the to-do list: reserve a block of rooms at the nearby hotel, the Clearwater Resort & Casino, and checking in with various and sundry guesthouses, beach houses, cottages, B&Bs, and motels in or near Poulsbo and Bainbridge Island. Angie's gotta start thinkin' about gowns/dresses, I've gotta start thinking about honeymoon stuff (bicycle and eat & drink our way through Tuscany? Tour Spain? Revisit our Eastern European roots? Volunteer in Tanzania? Or just hide out on Lake Chelan?)

At the moment, I need to get back to work (yes, Zak works). Don't count on this blog being kept up with clockwork regularity. But we'll keep y'all posted on a need-to know basis. But for those of you who in the spirit of solidarity want to start planning your suits and dresses a year in advance, our palette is conveniently posted above.
